Lupita Nyong'o is a Kenyan actress and music video director born in Mexico City, Mexico on March 1, 1983 from Kenyan parents, but her father, Peter Anyang' Nyong'o, was a guest professor at El Colegio de Mexico due to the political repression and unrest in their native country, but a year later the whole Nyong'o family would return to Kenya after Peter got a professor job at the University of Nairobi.
